Some people said I was wasting my time studying poetry, when I could have been devoting my time to something practical,
but what is more practical than diving so deeply into the sea of language that the faculty of critical thinking is overwhelmed then paralyzed?
I say this because critical thinking is what keeps us subjugated and it must be paralyzed (or, at least, neutralized) before “enlightened” thought will have a space it can enter into.
Poets have their methods for creating this space, or finding their ways to this space, but it can take them many lifetimes and it is largely an unconscious process and it is not always pretty to watch.
