A Bold Blog
This is a space for big ideas and early musings, where we can test our thinking and learn and grow with you.
Our work demands radical authenticity and this is where we get to pull back the curtain on new thinking first.
Welcome to the conversation!
Getting started is the hard part. Not because the doing itself is hard–often having clear steps to take makes it easier–but because it requires a commitment in the direction of one thing and away from another, perhaps more familiar one.
Living into one’s Bold Vision takes courage and resolve and a willingness to let go of the ways and habits that no longer serve our direction or our vision.
Gosh, this is a hard one. So many things around us teach us to ignore that inner whisper and wait for irrefutable proof, to not speak up unless we are certain, and to go along to get along.
Of course, jumping headlong into something or shying away without taking a good hard look isn’t great advice either, but time and again, I’ve found that people who successfully bring their bold visions to life have learned to hone their instincts and trust their gut. I’ve had many occasions in my life where I’ve regretted not acting on instinct, and many others when even things that looked crazy or fool-hardy at the time, proved to be some of the best decisions I ever made in the long run.
Welcome to a new frontier in living life out loud!
I’ve spent most of my life helping people finds their voices and tell their stories and I’ve seen the joy and life that comes from living on purpose, and the pain and frustration of keeping part of yourself secret or hidden. This applies in deeply personal and intimate parts of our lives and to the most public parts of ourselves. Most of us can pinpoint those places where we feel most fully ourselves and can feel the difference when we have to “check” a part of ourselves at the door.
