This moment calls for A Bolder Vision than ever
Storms of all kinds are all around us—political, environmental, organizational. The old maps and methods don’t work anymore.
I’ve learned that the people and communities that will thrive when things fall apart aren’t the ones with perfect plans. They’re the ones who lean into curiosity, are able to sit with uncertainty, and find ways to work together.
That takes both conviction and connection. Whether you’re leading through transition or building what comes next, let’s explore how we say the quiet parts out loud when nothing is certain and everything is possible.

If you are trying to change something, don’t fight the existing reality… build new models that make the old ones obsolete.

About Jen
I founded A Bolder Vision more than 20 years ago based on the belief that involved, engaged humans create thriving organizations and communities. I’ve spent 25 years teaching, consulting, leading transformation work—building Integrated Work into a thriving B Corporation alongside an amazing team, and writing the KOAN method to bridge ancient wisdom and modern practice. I’ve learned again and again that we can’t build new models from old ways of seeing.
First, we have to learn to let go of what we think we know, and step into the kind of radical curiosity that is the only place from which new ideas can really be born. It’s been a big year of transition and upheaval for me and I’m still Sitting with the Storm in my own way, on semi-sabbatical until next year.
Along the way, I’m reaching out and connecting in with the people and places who have shaped my path and who are building the kinds of future I want to contribute to. I know many of you are going through your own big undoings right now. You are not alone.
I hope you will find and follow me so that we both shine brighter and feel less alone.

In Zen Buddhism a KOAN is a mantra that reveals the inadequacy of logic for reaching enlightenment. It is also a Bold Vision for new ways of living and working together.
I am living my own practice of sitting with uncertainty, building new connections, remembering that humans have always solved our biggest problems most creatively in community. I’m writing a lot and sharing bits of it on Medium. The journeys that have brought each of us here have given us so much wisdom, and we’re all just walking each other home…
